Perez Hilton's struggle for gay marriage & human rights!!

Famous celeb blogger, Perez Hilton as a judge on the miss USA pageant asked miss california what is her thoughts of gay marriages. After her racist answer Perez created a h8 video and released it on youtube. The sensitive to this matter, blogger started a whole campaign on twitter asking celebrities what they think about it.

Nicole Richie
Nick Cannon
Britney Spears
Taylor Swift
Joel Madden
Heidi Montag
Miley Cyrus

and lots of celebs were asked by perez and they all were positive and said that love is what really matters. Hilton was invited on Larry King's show so that he can debate the situation with a radio host who wasn't a big fan of the idea men getting maried with other men..
For the record I totally think that Perez was 100% right and he "beated" the radio host on the debate. Gays & lesbians have rights and they should have access to all these rights and treated equally with straight people.

συνέντευξη με τον Josh:

Rockville debuted last week on thewb.com. How do you think it did?

The reaction's been super positive. It's been embraced by the both people in the TV world and the music world. We were just at SXSW promoting the show, and it got great feedback from people.

What else did you do at SXSW, besides look around for Kanye?

Alexandra Patsavas and her record label Chop Shop, they had had a session ... panel? ... party? I don't know what they're called--oh, showcase, that's it--for Rockville. And a bunch of bands that were in Rockville played. The Little Ones, Anya Maria, as well as a couple of bands that weren't in the show, like Little Boots and Janelle MonΓ‘e. And the cast was there, too.

How did you develop the idea for Rockville's storyline?

I did a pilot before The O.C. called Wall to Wall Records, which was about the music business. But that was a while ago, now, and obviously the business has changed in drastic ways. I wasn't sure a show about it would have been as fun as it would have been eight or nine years ago. But something about the bands, something about a venue, a live music experience, felt like it would still be relevant today, and be a great use of the Internet as a medium.

Do you think a web-only show with very short episodes can capture audience the way The O.C., or Gossip Girl did? What are your hopes for it?

The storytelling is different, and the kinds of stories we're telling, the length of the episodes, the availability of the episodes, is for a very different medium. To try to judge it in terms of whatever the metrics of success are, or even critically in the same way that you would judge an episode of TV, is inaccurate. The only criteria of success for me was really experimenting in this new medium, having the opportunity to do something that was music-driven, working with great bands, and creating a world and characters who I enjoyed hanging out with and who I hope other people enjoy hanging out with.

Rockville focuses on a social set that would have welcomed dudes like Seth Cohen or Dan Humphrey with open arms. What made you decide to write something that would put the underdog--in this case, Hunter--in his natural habitat?

I mean, the thing about being the underdog is, you feel like an underdog even in your most comfortable environment. Hunter can look at a guy like Sid, the bassist from some lousy band that keeps changing his name, who Deb is completely enamored with, and have him be like, the biggest adversary of his life.

Tell us a little bit more about the casting. In addition to Veronica Mars' Ryan Hansen, who plays Hunter, I counted two former stars of The N's South of Nowhere making appearances. Were you a fan?

I have not seen that show. But all this cast is brand-new to me, including Ryan, who I loved and is actually in the Gossip Girl spin-off pilot.

Speaking of your Gossip Girl spin-off, where you at all surprised by how people have reacted to the idea of following a young Lily van der Woodsen instead of giving Lil Jenny Humphrey her own show?

[Jenny Humphrey] is who the books are about. Stephanie Savage and I are not fans of traditional spin-offs, and that idea didn't excite us. But doing something like this--that excited us. It was a creative challenge and an opportunity to expand the Gossip Girl universe.

Rockville is set entirely at The Echoplex and the Echo in Silverlake. Many music fans can remember a period in their lives when everything revolved around concerts and what bands they're going to see, and where, and with whom. Was that part of the feeling you were looking to evoke?

That was the idea. This is these characters' home, and this is their lives. Some of them work more directly with bands in the music business, either in A&R or because they work at the clubs. Some of them are just like Hunter, who works in online music marketing, which, he doesn't even know what that means, necessarily.

But was it also because you really missed The O.C.'s Bait Shop?

It wasn't so much about missing the Bait Shop as it was about me being nostalgic for the time in my life, in my early twenties, when I was able to go to shows all the time and hang out with a group of people who lived that life. This was a chance to recapture that.

No prenup? No party!!!

Heather Mills, the estranged wife of Paul McCartney, was granted nearly £25 million ($50 million) in her divorce proceedings with the former Beatle, she said Monday.

Mills and McCartney, pictured before divorce proceedings, married in 2002 and have a young daughter.

Mills said she will not appeal the award, but she will appeal the publication of the hearing transcript, which she said McCartney has asked for.
In an 11-minute statement to reporters outside the High Court after the verdict, Mills said she was pleased that the bitter divorce hearings had ended.
"I'm so glad it's over and it was an incredible result, in the end, to secure my and my daughter's future, and that of all the charities that I obviously plan on helping," said
Mills, dressed in a khaki, green and blue suit with a bright red shirt.
Mills has established a career as a campaigner and charity worker since losing a leg in a road accident in 1993.
Judge Hugh Bennett awarded Mills, who represented herself, £24.3 million ($48.6 million), according to the court's release.
She had sought an award of nearly £125 million ($251 million), the court said. McCartney had proposed £15.8 million ($31.6 million), it said.
The judgment included £35,000 ($70,000) a year for the couple's 4-year-old daughter, Beatrice. Mills said she was unhappy with that amount because it isn't enough for school tuition, private security, or first-class airfare.
"He likes her to fly five times a year on holiday," Mills said of McCartney. "It's £17,000 for two people return (round-trip) first class, so that's obviously not meant to happen for her anymore. It's very sad."
According to the court's release, the award includes £600,000 ($1.2 million) a year for Mills and £2.5 million ($5 million) for her to purchase property in London.
Mills said she would appeal to stop the publication of the entire judgment because it contains private details about Beatrice and she doesn't want them released. The judge has granted permission for the litigants to speak publicly, she said.
McCartney did not speak to reporters after the verdict.

Mills said that as a "litigant in person," or a litigant representing herself, the system worked against her at every turn.
"These people are in a club," she said. "It's like they want to stay together and they don't want to see a litigant in person doing well."
She said the judge did not agree with her on important details, including how long the couple lived together or even McCartney's personal wealth, which she estimated at £800 million ($1.6 billion). She said the judge estimated it to be half of that.

People.com: Mills 'so happy' with settlement
"I won't go into all the horrific details of what happened because I'm just glad it's over," Mills said. "I really hope now that me and my daughter can have a life and not be followed every single day, and that is why I've come out -- to give it closure."
McCartney and Mills failed to agree on a settlement ending their four-year marriage in divorce hearings last month, leaving the judge to decide the terms.
McCartney and Mills married in 2002 after meeting at a charity event.
At the time of their split in 2006, they described it as amicable, despite widespread reports of a tempestuous relationship between McCartney and the former model.
Mills has since lashed out at news media coverage of the divorce, which she said has been unfair to her and driven her to the brink of suicide.
In a television interview last year, Mills said she had endured "18 months of abuse, worse than a murderer or pedophile."
Monday's divorce settlement fell short of the previous record for a litigated divorce settlement in Britain. An award of £48 million ($96 million) was handed down last year, according to British divorce lawyer Julian Lipson.
